UX Audit #1

Audit Date 11/01/2022

Introduction

I will be conducting an audit of the website dragonflybalm.com and determining the areas that need to be improved.

Usability

Is the website easy to use and navigate? Can users easily find the information and resources they need?

Results

Overall, the website is easy to use and navigate, with a clear and intuitive layout. The main menu is prominently displayed at the top of the page, making it easy for users to find the information they need. The search bar is also prominently displayed, allowing users to quickly find specific products or resources.

Accessibility

Is the website accessible to users with disabilities? Is it easy for users with visual impairments to read the content, and can users with motor impairments navigate the website using a keyboard?

Results

The website is missing alt tags and thus not allowing special software to read the image content to users with disabilities

Visual design

Is the visual design of the website aesthetically pleasing and professional? Does it effectively convey the brand's identity and messaging?

Results

The visual design is modern and is aesthetically pleasing; however, in terms of branding there are improvements. For example, Tesla's website or Apple's website are good examples of how to express your brand through design.

Content

Is the content on the website clear, concise, and informative? Does it provide value to the user?

Results

The homepage could use key improvements:

  • testimonials
  • video
  • exit pop up
  • social media links
  • design that requires less scrolling (current sections take a lot of space)

Mobile optimization

Is the website optimized for mobile devices? Does it display and function correctly on different devices and screen sizes?

Results

Overall, the website provides an excellent user experience on mobile devices. The responsive design adapts seamlessly to different screen sizes and resolutions, ensuring that the content is easy to read and navigate on any device.
